Hi ala,
Last Friday we kicked off the day at 8:00 am ET with the Speaker Friend-a-thon. Thank you to everyone who shared the day with us - absolutely incredible energy all around.
The metrics (I love metrics) around the event were awesome:
- 270 attendees
- 39,793 total participant minutes (663.22 hours)
- An astounding average of 147 minutes per person. (More than 2 hours!)
But the Speaker Friend-a-thon metric I like the best is the zero.
As in, zero speakers showed up late. Zero speakers were no-shows.
So proud of our speakers - how professional and punctual. It may sound like a little thing but it becomes a big thing when you are running an event, wrangling both guests and speakers. If one speaker shows up late, everything is thrown out of whack.
The best speakers are the speakers who make the job of event manager easy. Who come early and prepared.
Mad props to the event organizers amongst us. This stuff is HARD. A million details, including selecting and scheduling speakers. And big kudos to the speakers who are easy...and big ZEROS.
Bobbie and the entire Innovation Women team
P.S. Speaker Friends Live Chicago is coming! Join us!
