I really enjoyed the novel we picked for this month. The character development was surprisingly deep for a mystery thriller. I found myself staying up late just to read VGLV0KdXG4RS9K6 a few more chapters. The way the author wove together multiple timelines felt really masterful. I know some people found the pacing slow in the middle section, but I actually appreciated the slower build-up because it made the ending hit harder. The themes of memory and identity were woven throughout in such a subtle way. I'm already looking forward to our next meeting to discuss the symbolism in the final chapter. It's rare that a book stays with me this long after finishing it. I've already recommended it to a few friends who don't typically read this genre and they loved it too. Let me know what you thought about the ending specifically — I have so many theories about what really happened to the main character. I'm thinking of rereading it next month just to catch details I might have missed the first time.
I also started another book by the same author and it's completely different in tone but equally absorbing. The writing style is so versatile. I'll bring it to our next meetup.

I finally tackled the hallway bookshelves this weekend and I'm so happy with how they turned out. I decided to go with a floating shelf design instead of the bulky bookcase that was there before. The installation was trickier than I expected because the studs weren't where I thought they would be. I ended up using heavy-duty anchors for a few of the brackets to make sure everything was secure. The whole project took about six hours spread across two days. I stained the wood a warm walnut color that matches the trim in the rest of the house. I've already started rearranging my books by color which I know is not the most practical system but it looks so satisfying. My partner thinks I'm being a bit obsessive about the spacing between each shelf but I want it to look intentional. Next weekend I'm thinking about adding some small accent lighting underneath the bottom shelf. I found these battery-powered puck lights that would fit perfectly without any hardwiring.
The best part is that the whole project cost less than I expected. I found the wood on sale and the brackets were reasonably priced online. I'm already planning a similar setup for the living room.
