Yeah I finally made it to that new exhibit at the natural history museum. Honestly it was way more interesting than I expected. The dinosaur fossils were impressive but the real highlight was the gemstone hall. The colors on some of those crystals were unreal. I spent almost an hour just walking through that section. My phone died right when I tried to take a picture of this massive amethyst geode. Typical timing. Anyway if you haven't gone yet I'd recommend going on a weekday when it's less crowded.

We went Saturday and it was packed with families. Still worth it though. The kids seemed to love the interactive displays where you can dig for fossils. rBtdLk73hft I might go back again next month when they rotate in some new pieces from the collections archive. Let me know if you want to come along. I think you would really enjoy the mineral section especially. The way they light each case makes the colors pop like nothing I've seen before.

I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me last week. It came out pretty well for a first attempt. I think I overdid the garlic a bit but honestly is there really such a thing as too much garlic. The sauce was supposed to be a creamy mushroom but I ended up adding some sun-dried tomatoes I had sitting in the fridge and it actually worked nicely.

I served it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread. The whole thing took about forty minutes from start to finish which felt reasonable for a weeknight meal. I'll definitely make it again maybe next time I'll try it with shrimp instead of just vegetables. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Let me know if you have any other good ones I should try. I'm getting into cooking more these days and trying new things in the kitchen. The fresh basil really made a difference I think.
