I finally got around to trying that hiking trail you recommended last month. Honestly, it was tougher than I expected — especially that steep climb around mile three — but the view from the top was absolutely worth it. We brought sandwiches and sat on the rocks for about an hour just watching the clouds move through the valley. Next time I'll bring more water though; I completely ran out on the descent. Let me know if you want to go again sometime, maybe on a weekend when the weather is better. I've been looking at the forecast and next Saturday looks promising. We could start earlier this time and try the longer loop you mentioned. I'll bring extra snacks too. The trail markers were a bit confusing in one section so I'll also download a map beforehand.
