Yeah I finally got around to trying that hiking trail you mentioned last month. The views were definitely worth the early start even if my legs are still complaining a bit. We took the loop around the lake first and then headed up the ridge. The wildflowers are just starting to bloom which made the whole thing feel pretty special. I brought a lunch and sat on a big flat rock near the top just watching the clouds roll through. The trail was well marked like you said but the last half mile gets pretty steep. I'd recommend going on a weekday if you can because it was still pretty quiet. FC0tzT8vp3bdQ4 I saw a couple of deer on the way back down which was a nice surprise. Anyway thanks for the suggestion it was exactly what I needed. Let me know if you want to go again sometime maybe we can check out the north trail you mentioned.

I finally finished that novel you lent me and I have to say it took a completely unexpected turn in the middle. The writing style reminded me a bit of that author we both liked from last year but with a darker tone. I found myself staying up way too late on a work night just to finish a few more pages. The character development was really well done especially the way the main protagonist evolves over the course of the story. There were a few moments where I had to go back and reread sections because the plot twists caught me off guard. I think you'd enjoy discussing the ending because it leaves things open to interpretation. I'll drop the book off at your place this weekend if that works and you can tell me what you thought about the final chapter. I'm already looking for something new to read so if you have any other recommendations let me know.
