Yeah, I finally made it out to the trailhead around 7 AM. The parking lot was already half full which surprised me. I ended up taking the loop trail instead of the ridge one because I forgot to pack enough water. The wildflowers were really starting to pop along the creek section. I saw a couple of deer just standing there watching everyone walk by. Next time I will definitely bring a better map because I took a wrong turn near the old fire station and added an extra mile to the hike. My legs are definitely feeling it today. The views from the top were totally worth it though.

I tried that banana bread recipe you sent me. It was actually really easy to follow. I swapped out the walnuts for some chocolate chips I had in the pantry. It turned out super moist and really fluffy. My neighbor came over to borrow a book and I gave him a slice. He asked for the recipe. I will definitely be making it again for the potluck next week unless you think I should try something else. Let me know if you have any other good baking ideas. I have a ton of ripe bananas to use up still.
