I saw your message about the garden party. I think the hydrangeas are blooming earlier than expected this year. We could probably set up the tables near the oak tree to get some shade. I can bring my grandmother's vintage punch bowl if you want something classic. Let me know if you need help with the invitations. I have that calligraphy set we can use to make beautiful name cards. Also, I can stop by the bakery on Saturday morning to pick up a few dozen pastries. Let me know if you think that is enough food or if we should order a few quiches. I am happy to help with the setup on Friday evening. The weather forecast looks promising so far. I think it will be a lovely afternoon in the garden.

I finally tried that sourdough starter recipe you sent me last month. It took a few tries to get the hydration right, but the crust came out incredibly crispy. I added a bit of rosemary and sea salt on top. We should do a baking swap next weekend. I also found this great little thrift store near the farmer's market. They have a wonderful selection of vintage baking dishes. I picked up a beautiful blue ceramic loaf pan for just a few dollars. Let me know if you want to go check it out next Saturday. I think you would love the collection of old cookbooks they have. It is a really charming shop with friendly staff.
