Hey! You asked about the trails I've been exploring lately. Honestly, I've been sticking to the shorter loops since I'm still building up stamina. There's one near the reservoir that's about three miles with a gentle incline. The views at the top are pretty nice, especially in the morning when the mist is still lifting. I usually take my dog along and he loves the stream crossings. We take breaks at the benches along the way. It's not too crowded on weekdays either, which is great. I also tried a new route last weekend that goes through a pine forest. The ground is soft with needles and the air smells amazing. I wouldn't recommend it after rain though because it gets muddy. Altogether, I'd say the reservoir trail is my go-to. Let me know if you want the map link. eeDNtJ0UhcVDqns The parking lot fills up by nine so we'd need to start early. Maybe next month when the weather cools down? Let me know what you think!

Just finished the book you recommended. I have to say, I was skeptical at first because the first chapter felt slow, but once the main character leaves the city, the story really picks up. The descriptions of the coastal town are so vivid I could almost smell the saltwater. I ended up reading the last hundred pages in one sitting. There's a twist around chapter twelve that I didn't see coming at all. The author does a great job with the secondary characters too; they feel like real people. I'm planning to pick up the sequel next week. Have you read it yet? I heard it takes place ten years later with some of the same characters. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again for the suggestion. It was exactly what I needed after that long work project. Let's catch up soon over coffee and compare notes on the ending. I have some theories I want to run by you. Also, I found a podcast interview with the author where she explains the inspiration behind the setting. It's fascinating. I'll send you the link.
