The Wildcat Weekly - June 15, 2026
SeniorWalks

Centreville Students, Families, and Community,

Last week was an incredible and memorable final week with the Class of 2026, culminating in our graduation ceremony on Thursday. It was a privilege to celebrate the accomplishments, growth, and perseverance of our graduates alongside their families, friends, and staff. As I shared during my remarks at graduation, regardless of where life takes our graduates, I hope they continue to expand their minds, expand their perspectives, and expand their impact on the individuals and communities they encounter. The future is bright for the Class of 2026, and we are proud to welcome them into the long tradition of Centreville High School alumni. Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat!

For our underclassmen, we have just a few days remaining in the school year. Final exams will conclude on Monday and Tuesday, and we encourage all students to continue giving their best effort through the final assessments of the year. For any students who do not successfully complete a course, members of our staff will be reaching out to discuss available options and next steps to ensure students remain on track toward graduation and future success.

As a reminder, June 17 is the final official day of the school year. Students who choose to attend will report from 8:10 a.m. until 10:20 a.m. and will remain in the cafeteria for the duration of the morning. This time provides an opportunity to connect with friends and staff one final time before the start of summer break.

This edition of the Wildcat Weekly will be the final newsletter of the 2025–2026 school year. As we reflect on the year, I cannot thank our students, families, staff, and community partners enough for your continued support and partnership. Together, we have made meaningful progress in pursuit of our shared priorities: ensuring high-quality instruction for all students, fostering a positive and inclusive school climate, and committing ourselves to continuous growth and improvement. The strength of the Wildcat Nation lies in our ability to work together, support one another, and continually strive to be better than we were yesterday.

The Wildcat Weekly will return near the end of July as we begin preparations for another exciting school year. Until then, I wish all of our students and families a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer break filled with opportunities to recharge, explore new experiences, and spend time with those who matter most.

And to all of the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, and father figures in the Wildcat community, I hope you enjoy the upcoming Father's Day surrounded by family and loved ones. Thank you for the many ways you support and encourage our students throughout the year.

Go Wildcats!

Dr. Erik Healey, Principal

Cappies

CVHS Theatre Making Things Go Wrong the Right Way with Cappies Award: Congratulations to the CVHS Theatre Department’s outstanding stage crew members Lena Thepvongsa, Callaghan Crofton, and Amelia Loht on earning a Cappie Award for their work on The Play That Goes Wrong (High School Edition)! Their creativity, technical expertise, and dedication behind the scenes helped bring the production to life and ensured that every mishap happened exactly as planned. The Cappies program recognizes excellence in high school theatre through a year-long process in which student critics attend performances, write published reviews, and select award recipients from among their peers. We are incredibly proud of Lena, Callaghan, and Amelia for this well-deserved honor and for representing Centreville High School with excellence. Bravo to our talented Wildcats!
