Hey, yeah, the hiking trip was exactly what I needed. We did the Eagle Lake trail, which was about 8 miles round trip. The weather was perfect, not too hot, and the fall colors are just starting to pop. I brought my new camera, a Fuji X-T5, and the shots are incredible. The colors are so vibrant straight out of camera. I've been editing a few of them for a small photo book I'm putting together. It's mostly just for me, but I might print a few extras for the wall. Let me know if you want to grab coffee next week. I can show you the album and we can catch up. I also finally started that book you recommended, 'Project Hail Mary.' It's really good so far, very engaging. Hope you're doing well. Talk soon!

Oh, I totally forgot to tell you about the woodworking project I started. I'm building a small bookshelf for the living room. It's my first real piece of furniture, so it's taking a while. I already messed up one of the shelves because I measured wrong, but it's a learning process. The wood is black walnut, which was pretty expensive but looks beautiful when it's oiled. I also saw that new movie everyone's talking about, the sci-fi one. It was visually stunning but the plot was a bit predictable. Still worth watching though. On a different note, I tried that new coffee shop downtown, the one with the plants everywhere. Their latte art is amazing, and the beans are single-origin. I had a really nice conversation with the barista about brewing methods. Anyway, I should probably get back to sanding. Let me know what you think about the recipe you tried!
