I think shifting the weekend trip to early next month would give us more time to prepare and the weather should be milder then. The cabin we looked at has availability for the first weekend and the rate is reasonable for a group of six. We can split the cost evenly and each handle our own meals. I can bring board games and cards for the evenings. Let me know if you want to invite Sarah and Tom as well since they mentioned being interested in joining us for a weekend away. We should decide on meals and activities ahead of time to make the most of it.

The neighborhood clean up event next Saturday needs more volunteers for the park section. I already signed up to help with raking and bagging leaves. The organizers asked everyone to bring their own gloves and a rake if possible. They will provide bags and water for volunteers. I think we should arrive around 8 in the morning to get started before the heat builds up. After the clean up they are planning a small cookout for everyone who helped. Let me know if you can join so I can tell the coordinator we have another person coming.
