Reminder: Complete the National Nursing Survey

The National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses (NSSRN) is underway. Paper questionnaires were mailed on June 10. If you receive one, please complete the survey online or by mail to ensure nurses’ experiences are represented.

Since 1977, HRSA has conducted the NSSRN, the primary source of data on the U.S. nursing workforce. The survey collects data on nurses’ education, work experience, job satisfaction, and burnout, among other information. Invitations to complete the survey online were mailed earlier this year, and paper questionnaires were mailed on June 10 to selected nurses. Responses are needed before the survey closes this summer.

Here's what you can do to help us achieve a strong response rate:

• If you receive the paper questionnaire in the U.S. mail from the U.S. Census Bureau, please complete and return it.  You may also complete it online.
• If you work with nurses who receive the questionnaire, please encourage them to complete and return it.
