I meant to reply earlier, but the afternoon disappeared on me. I checked the cabinet like you suggested, and the extra jars were behind the mixing bowls the whole time.
I also found the notebook with the list of weekend tasks, so that clears up why I thought I had forgotten something important. I am going to keep it on the counter this time instead of tucking it away somewhere strange.
Tomorrow should be easier because I already laid out what I need and wrote myself a simpler plan. If the weather stays mild, I may open the windows for a while and finish the sorting project before lunch.
I do not think anything dramatic is needed, just a little patience and a better system. Thanks again for checking in and nudging me to look one more time. That helped more than you probably realized, and I feel a lot less scattered now.

I took your suggestion and reset the room one shelf at a time instead of trying to do everything at once.
That made it much easier to finish, and now I can actually find the things I use every day without digging through piles. I even moved the lamp closer to the chair, which oddly makes the whole corner feel calmer.
I am still unsure about the blue basket, though. It works well enough, but it might be too deep for the smaller items, so I may swap it out later if I find something simpler. For now, the setup feels practical and tidy, which is really all I wanted.
I will send you a quick update after I test it for a few days. If it still feels organized by then, I will call it a success and stop rearranging things for a while. That is probably the better plan anyway.
