The wildflowers near the creek should be blooming by now, at least that is what I have heard from a few friends who went last weekend. Pack extra water because there is not a lot of shade once you get past the old bridge. I am hoping to get out there myself next Wednesday if the weather holds. Let me know if you want to carpool. I usually head out pretty early to beat the heat. The parking lot can fill up fast. Your photos from the last trip were fantastic, by the way. That camera you have really captures the light well. I should probably start bringing mine more often.

I tried that new coffee shop downtown yesterday. Their cold brew is really smooth, not bitter at all. They also have this honey lavender latte that I want to try next time. The place itself is small but cozy, with a couple of tables near the window. I took a book and ended up staying for over an hour. Oh, one more thing – my neighbor just adopted a rescue puppy. It is a mix of something with floppy ears and lots of energy. I saw it chasing a leaf across the yard for ten minutes straight. It is adorable. They are still working on potty training but making progress. If you ever want to come over and meet it, just say the word. Puppy therapy is real.
