Hello again!

In the two decades since his World Cup debut as a mop-headed teenager, Lionel Messi has made a habit of tearing up the record books.

Today he has another milestone in his sights: the all-time World Cup goalscoring record.

After marking his 200th Argentina cap with a hat-trick against Algeria, Messi is level with Miroslav Klose on 16 goals and can move clear of the German when the World Cup holders face Austria in Texas.

My colleague Janina Nuno Rios looks ahead to a meeting of Group J's leaders, with Argentina chasing a place in the knockouts and Austria hoping to spoil the party.

Coach Lionel Scaloni, meanwhile, will be happy to have a good headache up front as he decides which striker will lead Argentina's attack alongside Messi — Julian Alvarez or Lautaro Martinez?
