June 22, 2026 - Quick housekeeping: I've made a temporary move while I wait to get into my actual new place, which means yes, I am still living amongst boxes. Have I mentioned that moving sucks? Because it does. I also had to leave Betty White (that's my VW Beetle, for those just joining us) with my brother while I wait to settle in, which is going to be a long month. I've given him very clear instructions to take good care of her while I’m busy and traveling. On a brighter note: the Knicks! I'll be honest, I don't watch a ton of sports, but I love a good moment of collective city energy and I am absolutely here for my New York comrades right now. Team spirit is a beautiful thing.

And finally, the most pressing issue of the season: my watch tan is back. Summer is officially here and I am once again walking around with a very distinct pale weird shape on my wrist the moment I take my watch off. Does this bother anyone else? Maybe I'm overthinking it. Do you take yours off when just sitting at the pool or beach? I'm curious. It doesn’t really bother me except for moments I want to go sans watch and just a bracelet or nothing.

 THE STUNTMAN IS HERE!
Tom Place is a stuntman, a gear obsessive, and one of my favorite people in this community. He sat down with us to talk about his career, his watches, and his collaboration with Hamilton for their America 250 celebration. Hamilton is one of those brands almost everyone has a personal connection to, and the 250th anniversary Khaki Field Mechanical 36mm is a pretty cool watch if you’re into the Khaki line.

 ZODIAC...THE MOVIE
If you haven't listened to Time on Screen yet, this is our movie podcast here at Worn & Wound and it is worth your time if you’re a movie buff like some of us are. This episode covers Zodiac — one of the great San Francisco films and a Fincher masterpiece — with Zach Kazan and yours truly. We recorded it ahead of the SF Windup, so it's been out for a minute, but I've watched the movie another time since and it just keeps getting better.

TISSOT REBUILT THE VISODATE
The Tissot Visodate was basically a rite of passage for watch enthusiasts five to ten years ago. From forums and Facebook pages, everyone was telling you it needed to be in your collection. Zach Kazan takes a hard look at the updated version in this video, and asks whether the new Visodate still has what made the original special. Worth a watch if you have history with this one.

THE SHOW YOU SHOULD ALREADY BE WATCHING
Ok, I'm going to need everyone to stop what they're doing and watch Widow's Bay on Apple TV+. It's a comedy horror set in a New England town which may or may not be involved in an old curse. To me, it’s very Stephen King in the best possible way and I have been counting down to new episodes every single week. Summer horror might be one of my favorite sub categories. No more excuses, go watch!
