I think the timeline for the neighborhood garden project is coming together well. We met with the community center coordinator and she confirmed we can use the raised beds starting in April. The soil test came back with good results so we mostly just need to add some compost before planting. We're planning tomatoes, peppers, basil, and maybe a row of sunflowers along the fence. A few neighbors offered to help with watering on rotation which makes it easier for those who travel on weekends. We'll set up a sign-up sheet for weeding and harvesting once things start growing. Let me know if you want to be included in the planning group chat.

We could take the trail up to the ridge and then loop back around through the meadow section. It's about 8 miles total with moderate elevation gain and some nice viewpoints along the way. I checked the park website and they said the wildflowers should be in peak bloom by mid-June which would make it even better. We'll need to bring plenty of water and maybe a light jacket for the summit where it gets breezy in the afternoon. The parking lot can fill up by 9am on weekends so we might want to go early or try a weekday. There's also a shorter option if we want to just do the lower loop which is around 3 miles and more relaxed. Let me know what you think about the timing and whether you'd prefer the full loop or something shorter.
