Actually I ended up chatting with my neighbor about her garden ideas and she showed me photos of her tulips from last spring. She's planning to add a row of lavender this year. I mentioned how my own basil always gets too leggy indoors. She laughed and said she uses a small fan to keep the air moving. That little trick really helps strengthen the stems. We're thinking of swapping cuttings soon. I also remembered I need to pick up some soil mix for repotting my snake plant. The nursery near the park has a good organic brand. Yesterday I saw the most adorable terracotta pots with a matte finish. Might grab a couple. Anyway, I'm rambling — hope your week is off to a nice start.

I was looking through some old photos on my phone last night and found the one from the hiking trip we took two summers ago. Remember that crazy steep trail that made everyone’s legs ache the next day? The view from the top was absolutely worth it though. I also found a blurry shot of us trying to roast marshmallows – turned out to be more like charred sugar sticks. Made me laugh. We should plan something similar this season even if it’s just a day hike. I hear the weather’s been perfect for that sort of thing. Let me know if you’re interested and we can figure out a weekend.
