Last week, thousands of ONE email subscribers like you stepped into the EU budget negotiations ahead of the European Council meeting in Brussels, where European leaders discussed spending plans for the next 7-year period.

Together, you sent more than 2,500 messages directly to decision-makers, calling for a budget that invests in global partnerships, health, education, climate action, and cooperation.

The negotiations are still underway, and no final decisions have been made yet. But there are signs that our message is being heard.

One of our biggest asks is that 1 in 5 euros of the EU's Global Europe budget should support health and education. Right now, that proposal remains firmly on the table and is emerging as one of the strongest candidates for inclusion in the final agreement.

If adopted, it would help ensure that millions of people around the world can access schools, healthcare, and opportunities for years to come.
