I was telling my colleague about that new coffee shop on Elm Street and how their cold brew is surprisingly smooth. She mentioned they also have a loyalty program but I haven't signed up yet. 8b6bbxOSp5cf The atmosphere is pretty laid back with lots of plants and natural light. I sat by the window last Saturday and caught up on some reading. They have these tall bookshelves along one wall with a mix of actual books and small plants tucked between them. The playlist was mostly acoustic covers which worked well for the vibe. I ordered an avocado toast too and it came with pickled onions and a sprinkle of chili flakes. Honestly I wasn't sure about the combination but it worked. The barista recommended their matcha latte for next time so I might try that. Anyway if you're free this weekend we could go together. Let me know what you think.

I ended up going for that bike ride along the river trail yesterday and it was exactly what I needed. The weather was perfect and there were hardly any other people out. I stopped at the little bridge around mile four and just watched the water for a while. There was a heron standing perfectly still near the bank which was pretty cool. I think I saw it catch a fish right before I left. The trail has been repaved in some sections so it's much smoother than last year. I went about twelve miles total which felt good after being stuck inside all week. My legs are definitely feeling it today though. I need to remember to stretch better afterwards. There's a new section that connects to the park on the north side so I might explore that next time. Let me know if you want to join next weekend.
