Hey, I finally got around to helping Sarah with that garden project she's been talking about. It took most of the weekend but we got the raised beds built and filled with soil. She wanted to grow tomatoes and peppers this year. I have to admit I was skeptical about her timeline but we actually finished faster than I expected. The weather cooperated which was a relief. I ended up learning a 0y2sLHfowvB few things about soil composition that I hadn't really thought about before. Anyway she was really happy with how it turned out and invited me over for a barbecue next weekend to celebrate. I might bring some of those perennial seeds I've been saving. It felt good to do something outdoors after being cooped up all winter. Let me know if you want to come by and see it sometime.

I finally made it up to that trail we talked about last month. The views from the ridge were incredible even though it was a bit cloudy in the morning. I started around 7am to beat the crowds and it was totally worth it. The wildflowers were just starting to bloom along the lower section. I stopped at the halfway point for some water and just sat on a rock for about twenty minutes watching a pair of hawks circle overhead. The descent was tougher than I remembered - my knees really felt it the next day. I'm getting too old for those steep sections I think. But overall it was a great day out. I packed a simple lunch and ate it at the summit. I'll send you some photos later this week. Let me know if you want to try it next month when the weather warms up a bit more.
