Yes, I think the best approach for the neighborhood cleanup would be to coordinate with the community center first because they have the space for supplies and can help with permit requirements. We should aim for a Saturday morning start around eight and wrap up by noon to avoid the heat. I already spoke with a few households on Maple Street who said they would bring rakes and gloves. The city usually provides trash bags and will pick up bulk debris if we give them a week notice. We could split into three teams one for each main street and assign a lead for every group. I can handle the printed flyers if someone else manages the sign-up sheet. Let me know if you want to use the online form I mentioned or if you prefer paper sign-ups at the center. I will also check with the local hardware store about borrowing additional tools. This should be manageable as long as we keep communication clear and set expectations ahead of time. Let me verify the date with the recreation department and I will send a final update by Wednesday.

I think the hiking route you asked about is best done counterclockwise starting from the north trailhead because the elevation gain is more gradual and you get the lake view at the midpoint rather than at the end. We did it last fall and the loop took about four hours with a few rest stops. The path is mostly well marked but there is one fork about a mile in where you want to bear left not right. Right takes you up a steeper ridge that adds about forty five minutes and the scenery is not as varied. I would recommend bringing at least two liters of water per person and a snack for the bench area near the top. The ground can be a little rocky in the second half so good footwear makes a difference. If you want to extend the trip there is a short spur trail that leads to a small waterfall about half a mile off the main loop. The parking lot usually fills by nine on weekends so arriving earlier helps. Let me know if you want a map link or a GPX file and I can forward what I have saved.
