I went all in on AI early.
At first, it felt like a magic button I could press to skip the hard thinking. Faster drafts. Instant answers. Decisions made for me.
But after a while, a dark cloud settled over my work.
I'd generate pages of writing, look at the words, and feel nothing. Just numb, like my mind agreed, but my heart was somewhere else. My curiosity faded. I could get answers so fast that the questions stopped forming, and on topics I'd spent a decade thinking about, I slowly lost touch with my own point of view.
Here's the part that surprised me most. I have a Second Brain. I've had one for years. The system was never the problem.
What I was quietly losing was other people.
AI was so fast and always available that it started replacing the human part of my work: bouncing an idea off someone, getting challenged, hearing how a real person wrestled with the same question. I'd built myself a hall of mirrors, and the only reflection in it was my own.
When I shared about this in a recent newsletter, a lot of people I'd never met wrote back to say they felt it too. One looked at AI's output and felt lifeless doing work that used to mean something. Another said they doubt themselves more than they used to now.
So if AI has left you more scattered and less sure of yourself instead of more capable, you're not alone. And that "not alone" part matters more than I realized.
Because nobody has AI figured out.
In a moment like this, the last thing you want is to grapple with it alone in a filter bubble. You want a trusted place with people who are in the same boat, testing things, comparing notes, keeping each other honest and human.
That's the shift we're making.
For a couple of years, the Second Brain Membership has been built around the idea of a Second Brain.
Today it's becoming something more: the place to figure out AI on your own terms, without losing the human connection along the way. It carries forward the work from our AI Second Brain cohorts, month after month, with a community right beside you.
Here's how it works. Each month, you go deep on one focus and build it into your real setup, alongside other members doing the same. You finish with something that works, then move on to the next.
What you get inside:
- Monthly Implementation Sprints: one hands-on focus each month, built into your real setup
- Monthly Masterclass with Tiago: I open each theme by walking through what I'm testing in my own workflows, live, with room for your questions
- Weekly Implementation Sessions: build alongside other members and leave with real progress
- Expert Workshops: guest experts on AI, productivity, and knowledge management
- The Second Brain Community on Circle: people who take this as seriously as you do
- Bonus: the official Second Brain Notion Template
About the price. On July 10, pricing goes up:
- Annual: $649 → $799
- Quarterly: $225 → $269
Join before July 10, and you lock in today's lower rate for as long as you stay a member.
If figuring out AI without losing yourself in it has been on your mind, this is the moment.
