The backyard project is coming along nicely. I finally settled on using decomposed granite for the path instead of pavers - it drains better and feels more natural. We're planting lavender along the border because it attracts pollinators and stays low maintenance. I still need to figure out the seating area layout. Maybe a curved bench near the old oak? Let me know what you think about adding a small water feature.

I think the best approach for the bookshelf is to organize by subject rather than by color. That way you can find reference material quickly. Also, consider adding small labels on the spines for fiction vs non-fiction. For the cookbooks, maybe group them by cuisine type - Italian all together, Asian next to it. If space is tight, double‑stacking with a riser could work. Let me know if you want help sorting them out.
