July 06, 2026 - This week, I promise I'm done talking about my move. What I will talk about is the Fourth of July, which delivered on all fronts including great BBQ and maybe a little too much sun. I've also been spending a lot of quality time with my Tudor Pelagos lately (blue dial, if you're curious) and I have to say, the bezel action on this thing is genuinely some of the best out there. I'd even put it up against Rolex in that department, and I’ve owned both. I’ve said this before but I love a chunky diver (the watch kind), and I need to stay off the internet because the itch for something colorful and fun is very much back and I cannot be trusted right now. Send help.

Also…Chicago! We are heading back to the Windup Watch Fair this week and I would love to see as many of you there as possible. Please don't hesitate to come say hi if you see me walking (or running) around. We'll have over 70 brands in attendance and some great panels going on through the weekend, plus a brand new venue at Morgan MFG. So come by, cool off in our amazing venue, and check out some rad watches.

 YES, WE PICK FAVORITES HERE
We're officially past the halfway point of 2026 so Zach Kazan asked our staff to pick their favorite watches of the year so far and the results are in. It's always one of my favorite pieces because you really get a sense of where everyone's heads are at, and there’s some definite picks in here that might surprise you. Give it a read and let us know if we got it right.

WATCH WRITING CLICHÉS WE NEED TO RETIRE (AND SOME WE'RE KEEPING)
A few weeks ago on the podcast, Zach Kazan and I discussed some watch writing clichés that we need to retire, and some that we're also ok to keep around. If you've spent any time reading watch content online you probably know exactly what we're talking about. This was a fun one.

BOW WOW'S NPR TINY DESK CONCERT
I wasn't expecting Bow Wow to be in my feed in 2026 but here we are. I love NPR’s Tiny Desk series a lot and this one was just the right amount of nostalgia I needed this week. Even if you aren't a huge Bow Wow fan, there's no denying he came from a time of clearly lots of rehearsals (I mean he was just a kid when he got his start) and it felt like he just fell right into that muscle memory of performing live.
