I finally got around to trying that pasta recipe you mentioned last month and honestly it turned out better than I expected. The key was letting the sauce simmer for a full hour instead of rushing it. I added a bit of extra garlic and used fresh basil from the farmer's market. My family really enjoyed it and my daughter actually asked for seconds which never happens. I am thinking of trying the variation with mushrooms next time. Let me know if you have any other recommendations like that. Also we are planning a trip to the botanical gardens this weekend if you and your family want to join. The weather forecast looks perfect for a long stroll. I think the kids would enjoy the butterfly exhibit they have running right now. Let me know what you think about Saturday morning.

I also started that book you gave me and I cannot put it down. The writing style is so immersive and the characters feel real. I am about halfway through already.

Thanks for the update on the community garden project. I spoke with a few neighbors and there is a lot of enthusiasm for getting it started. We identified a potential plot near the park that gets good sunlight throughout the day. The soil quality there seems decent from what I can tell after checking a few samples. I also contacted the city about any needed approvals and they said it should be straightforward as long as we follow the basic guidelines. We are planning to hold an initial meeting next Saturday morning to discuss layout ideas and what to plant first. If you know anyone else who might want to participate please send them our way. I think this could be a really nice addition to the neighborhood and a fun way to connect with everyone. I am also looking into getting a small shed for tools if the group agrees.

Let me know if you have thoughts on the best vegetables to start with given the season.
