Thanks for asking about the hike next weekend. I have been looking at trail options for Mount Tam and think the Dipsea Trail to Steep Ravine loop would be a great choice. It is about seven miles with some moderate elevation gain and the views along the coast are usually spectacular this time of year. I checked the weather forecast and it looks like clear skies with highs near seventy, so conditions should be ideal. We should plan to start early, maybe around seven thirty, to avoid the midday heat and find parking without trouble. I can bring extra water and snacks if needed. Let me know if you prefer a shorter route or if you want to adjust the pace. I will also pack a basic first aid kit and some layers in case the wind picks up near the summit. If everyone is comfortable with the plan, I can reserve a spot at the overflow lot in advance. Just confirm your preference by Thursday so I can finalize arrangements.

Regarding the community garden plots for this season, I think we should proceed with the layout we discussed at the last meeting. The southern section gets the most sunlight so that area would be best for tomatoes and peppers. I have already ordered soil amendments from the local nursery and they should arrive by next Tuesday. We need about ten cubic yards of compost to cover the raised beds. I will coordinate with the volunteers to schedule a workday on Saturday the fourteenth if that works for everyone. We also need to assign plot responsibilities for watering and weeding. I can manage the irrigation schedule if someone else handles the tool shed organization. Let me know if you want to adjust the crop plan or if there are additional crops you would like to include. I think we could also add a small herb border along the fence line. I will send a sign-up sheet for the weekend shift rotations by Wednesday.
