Summer Food Safety Spotlight: Explore FSRIO’s New Research Resources
Summer heat increases the risk of foodborne illnesses, especially in fresh produce and other perishable foods. To help address these risks, the USDA’s National Agricultural Library Food Safety Research Information Office (FSRIO) has updated its Get Started Finding Food Safety Research Publications webpage. The page now offers streamlined search tools and direct links to key databases, along with Food Safety Queries in NAL SEARCH to quickly find research on produce safety, food storage, packaging, and pathogens under summer conditions. These resources help the food safety community stay informed and apply research-based strategies throughout the hottest months.
Get Started Finding Food Safety Research Publications: A new webpage that streamlines food safety literature searching with suggested search terms, ready-made searches, links to key databases, and information on food safety research programs.
