Nutrition Research Spotlight: Explore FNIC’s Updated Tools and Resources

Reliable nutrition guidance starts with credible, evidence-based research, but finding it quickly isn’t always easy. To help, the USDA National Agricultural Library (NAL) Food and Nutrition Information Center (FNIC) recently updated its Find Nutrition Research and Publications webpage. This page helps streamline nutrition literature searching with new curated search strings, ready-to-use database links, and guides to effective searching. It also links to federal nutrition research programs and helps you quickly find studies on topics like the gut microbiome, precision nutrition, and polyphenols. These resources help the nutrition community find and apply the latest science with confidence.

DRI Topic Briefs: NAL evidence summaries that compile the research on digestible carbohydrate intake to inform future updates to the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs), covering maternal and infant and chronic disease outcomes.
