It’s been true for nearly two decades. Each new Christopher Nolan film tends to be a big, newsworthy moviegoing event, accompanied by months of speculation and all sorts of advance buzz. And the scale of the anticipation somehow seems to get bigger with each movie. So now we have The Odyssey, perhaps the director’s biggest, most ambitious picture. Which means it’s time to update our ranking of Nolan’s oeuvre.
