WE'LL TAKE THE POP-UP CAMPER

Hi ala,

One of my friends says her idea of roughing it is when room service is late. I agree. Growing up, however, summer road trips were camping trips.

After a particular rainy trip involving an army tent that leaked wherever you touched it and my then toddler brother (who thought it was funny to touch the tent and watch it drip), we graduated to a pop-up trailer.

You cranked the handle on the box-with-wheels and it converted into a marginally-better-option- than-a-tent-on-the-ground-with-the-snakes-and-bugs. The table converted into a bed. The stove had a cover that converted into a counter for meal prep.

When it was time to leave, we packed everything inside, and cranked it down. I fantasized about crawling inside for the ride home but Mom and Dad always said no.

The best speakers pack a lot into a small space too. Their presentations are packed with ideas, solutions to the audience's problems, thought-provoking concepts, and stories that inspire.

One thing they don't pack... a sales pitch. Outright selling from the stage turns most people off. But sharing ideas? Helping people? Yeah, that's the way to go. That's the presentation, done right, that could convert into business. Next month, join us for Speaking That Builds Businesses, a new webinar from the IW team. (More information below.)

SPEAKING THAT BUILDS BUSINESSES

Speaking isn't just about sharing your ideas or expertise. It's one of the most effective ways to build credibility, attract clients, open doors to partnerships, and become the person people think of when they need a product or service.

The most successful speakers go beyond giving a great presentation. They have a strategy that starts long before they step on stage and continues long after the applause dies down.

In this webinar, you'll learn how to use every speaking engagement as a business development opportunity without sounding salesy, smarmy or turning your presentation into a pitch.

Most speaker training focuses on giving a better presentation. This webinar is about getting better business results from the presentations you're already giving.

UPCOMING INNOVATION WOMEN WEBINAR

Off Mute: Owning Your Story as Your Competitive Advantage

Featuring Dr. Rita Renee

Wednesday July 29, 12:00 - 1:00 pm ET

In this talk, Dr. Rita will walk the audience through the OWN method — Own it, Word it, Name the moment.

Women with real expertise and experience still hesitate to lead with their stories. That hesitation is usually a framework gap, not a content gap — OWN gives them both the system and the confidence to use it, immediately applicable to their next pitch, panel, or post.
