Empower students through trusted journalism.
This school year, you can help students connect classroom lessons to the world around them. Your donation to the Tampa Bay Times Newspaper in Education (NIE) program provides classrooms with print and digital editions of the Tampa Bay Times, giving teachers powerful, real-world resources that build students’ reading comprehension, media literacy, critical thinking and civic engagement skills. Students learn to evaluate sources, analyze current events, strengthen their vocabularies and discover how the news impacts their communities.
For many classrooms, these newspapers are more than just lesson plans: They spark discussions, inspire curiosity and help students see themselves as informed citizens who can make a difference in their communities. |
