The CORE Outbreak Investigation Table is a list of outbreak and adverse event investigations primarily being managed by FDA’s CORE Response Teams. The investigations are in a variety of stages, meaning that some outbreaks have limited information, and others may be near completion. The table will be updated weekly.
This week's updates are:
For the outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1392) linked to a not yet identified product, the case count has increased from 72 to 93.
For the outbreak of Salmonella Javiana (ref #1395) linked to a not yet identified product, the case count has increased from 106 to 212. FDA has initiated sampling.
For the outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes (ref #1379) linked to a not yet identified product, the case count has increased from 8 to 9 cases. FDA has initiated sampling.
For the outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1390) linked to iceberg lettuce, FDA updated the outbreak advisory on July 24, 2026, with additional case information.
For the outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1384) linked to a not yet identified product, the outbreak has ended.
For the outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg (ref #1387) linked to a not yet identified product, the case count has increased from 81 to 90 cases.
For the outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 (ref #1382) linked to a not yet identified product, the outbreak has ended.
For the outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis (ref #1378) linked to eggs, FDA issued an outbreak advisory with information about recalled shell eggs produced by Midwest Poultry Services, L.P. Consumers should check their refrigerators for any recalled eggs and throw them away or return them to their place of purchase for a refund.
