Researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are collecting blood samples from healthy volunteers to better understand how platelets, small pieces of blood cells, work and change over time in healthy people.
You may be eligible if you:
• Are 18 years or older
• Are in good general health
• Are willing to fast for 10 hours before a blood draw
• Are willing to avoid NSAIDs (aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.) for 7 days before visits\
You are not eligible if you:
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have an autoimmune disease
• Have uncontrolled high blood pressure or diabetes
What Participation Involves
• An initial screening visit
• A baseline visit for blood sample collection
(This may occur on the same day as screening)
• Optional return visits for blood sample collection over time
(up to 10 years)
