Very uncomfortable summer heat bears down in the coming days.

High temperatures reach the upper 80s again today, but increasing humidity will make it feel much warmer than yesterday.

Heat indices soar starting tomorrow and hold through the weekend.

The Boston Police Department and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office are being sued for not releasing video of the deadly encounter between a police officer and carjacking suspect.

Lawyers for Civils Rights — a civil rights advocacy group — says the video showing what happened the night Stephenson King was fatally shot by Boston Police Officer Nicholas O’Malley should be released immediately.

O’Malley is charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of King, a carjacking suspect. His attorney says his client pulled the trigger because King was attempting to drive away and put his and his partner’s lives in danger.

An investigation is underway after a body was found on the shore in East Boston on Tuesday afternoon.

Massachusetts State Police said their Marine Unit was called to the area of Bayswater and Annavoy streets in East Boston around 1 p.m.

The Suffolk District Attorney’s Office confirmed that a body was found on the shore, but said they have no further information at this point.

A long-planned project to repair the seawall at Long Beach in Rockport, Massachusetts, is facing an uncertain future after the Federal Emergency Management Agency canceled nearly $2.8 million in funding.

The seawall has stood for about a century, but residents say it has become increasingly vulnerable to storms and rising tides.

“I don’t know what will happen once we get a really good storm because the wall is failing,” Long Beach resident Lisa Mooney said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is exploring plans to lease hundreds of parking spaces in downtown Boston to stage vehicles used in federal immigration operations.

This isn’t a done deal yet, but it gives us a glimpse into how ICE may be preparing for future enforcement efforts in the city.

The Department of Homeland Security has issued a public notice looking for a landlord who can provide 249 contiguous parking spaces in downtown Boston. The lot would be used to stage ICE vehicles under a proposed five-year lease.

Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital are again ranked the best hospitals in Massachusetts by U.S. News & World Report, following a yearslong streak tied for the top spot.

BWH and MGH, which are the two founding members of Mass General Brigham and are increasingly integrating with one another, are both ranked best in the state by the report, and are also the only two hospitals in Massachusetts to make the U.S. News’s “honor roll” list, which the digital media company describes as the best 20 hospitals in the country.
