Two posts landed in the KubeCraft wins channel this week. I want to show them to you because I think they answer a question I get all the time: "does this actually work for people like me?" He just signed as a Senior Platform Engineer. His own words: "Since I've moved to Poland ~1.5y ago, I had 14 interviews. 12 of those were in the past 45 days." Read that again. Eighteen months of almost nothing, then 12 interviews in 45 days. Nothing about the job market changed in those 45 days. He changed. He came through the Summer Sprint, our accountability program inside KubeCraft, and did the work with people watching. And here's the line I want you to sit with: "The technical part is a necessary but insufficient condition for success." This is the thing almost nobody in this industry wants to hear. You can be technically excellent and invisible. The engineers who get hired are the ones who pair the skills with everything around the skills. It ended with him negotiating between two offers, which is something we teach in KubeCraft: "I got a 10% increase in base salary, and already negotiated another 10% raise in 12 months. I got 4 more days of paid leave." "Honestly, it was absolutely fucking nerve wrecking. But it's so much money on the line." That confidence is not a personality trait. It's what happens when you know your preparation is real. And he did it through the mentorship he received in KubeCraft. Different person entirely. Thomas came from video game design. No IT background. He describes himself as shy, barely joined the calls. And he just landed his first job in the industry, a Cloud Engineer role building Kubernetes infrastructure with Terraform and Azure. What gave him depth in the interviews? "The Homelab creation help me have more discussion and depth to the interview for this job." He built real things with his hands, so he had real things to talk about. His advice to new members: "Focus on taking the time to do things manually... even if you don't get what you're writing." Here's why I'm showing you both. One is an experienced engineer who was stuck at zero interviews. One is a complete career switcher landing his first IT job ever. Opposite starting points. Same system. Same community. Same result in the same week. So you have two ways to react to posts like these. You can scroll past and think "good for them." Or you can decide the next wins post is yours. If it's the second one, apply to KubeCraft here. Mischa P.S. If you're hesitating because you've bought courses before that led nowhere, I understand. KubeCraft is not a course, it's the environment these guys were standing in when they did the work. And it comes with a guarantee in plain language: complete the work, follow the job-search system, and if you do not have interviews within six months, we keep working with you for free until you do. Apply here if you you want to go from watching videos to landing jobs. |
