GOING MY WAY?

Hi ala,

Yesterday we were going to Tech Support’s “Bring your parents to work” day and parked in a garage near his office.

As we left the garage, we noticed another couple heading in vaguely the same direction. “I wonder if they are going the same place?” I thought to myself. But Boston is a big city, and other people are allowed to park near my kid’s office without actually going there. In truth, I had a little shy moment - I get them.

Ten minutes later, we’re in the office and sure enough, our parking garage friends are there too. As they say, “Small world.”

You never know when someone is headed to the same place you are. And wouldn’t it be nicer to walk together, getting to know each other along the way?

That’s the goal of Speaker Friend Fridays. We have a whole group of people who are all heading in the same basic direction. Some might be heading to Business Growth Boulevard while others are traveling by way of Career Success Street but they are two parallel roads.

UPCOMING INNOVATION WOMEN WEBINAR

Speaking That Builds Businesses

Presented by Bobbie Carlton

Tuesday August 18, 12:00 - 1:00 pm ET

Speaking isn't just about sharing your ideas or expertise. It's one of the most effective ways to build credibility, attract clients, open doors to partnerships, and become the person people think of when they need a product or service.

The most successful speakers go beyond giving a great presentation. They have a strategy that starts long before they step on stage and continues long after the applause dies down.

In this webinar, you'll learn how to use every speaking engagement as a business development opportunity without sounding salesy, smarmy or turning your presentation into a pitch. Most speaker training focuses on giving a better presentation. This webinar is about getting better business results from the presentations you're already giving.

LIONESS MAGAZINE FEATURES

LIONESS ROUNDTABLE

September Lioness Roundtable: Accountability That Actually Works

📅 Date: Tuesday, September 22nd

🕒 Time: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. ET

We all have goals. The harder part is consistently doing the work required to reach them. Could the right accountability group make the difference?

Join us for a facilitated roundtable discussion about accountability: what works, what doesn’t, and what we need from each other to keep moving forward. We’ll explore different approaches to accountability groups, how to set expectations and commitments, what makes people actually show up and follow through, and how to provide support without turning the group into another networking meeting or advice session.

Come prepared to share your experiences, challenges and ideas. Together, we’ll identify the ingredients of an accountability group that helps members turn good intentions into measurable progress.
