The promises started right after I played on live television...
Monumental success, a life of glamour, legacy, recognition...
And a bunch of high-profilers swearing they’d look after me once I made the move to L.A.
By the time I got there, the guys had disappeared...
Vanished.

Every lick I play now came out of that gig, and out of hundreds of country performances after it...
