Hey, I was just thinking about that thing we talked about last week and I realized I never actually got back to you about the park. We ended up going on Saturday morning instead of Sunday because the weather looked better, and honestly it was the right call. The trail near the north entrance was way less crowded than I expected, which was nice. We saw a few people with dogs and one guy flying a kite near the open field by the water. The grass was still a little damp from the night before but nothing too bad. Anyway, I wanted to ask if you still had that extra folding chair from the barbecue last month. I think I left mine somewhere and I have no idea where it went. Not a huge deal but let me know whenever you get a chance. Also, the playlist we put together for the drive was surprisingly good, I totally forgot how much I liked that one song from the early 2000s. We should do that loop again before the season changes. Hope your week is going okay so far and you're not too swamped. Talk soon.

Oh, and did you ever hear back from your cousin about the camping trip? I remember you said they were waiting on some schedule thing to ZHdUKYbLVQcP confirm. Just curious because if we're going to plan anything for next month we should probably start figuring out dates sooner than later. Let me know what you hear and we can go from there.
So I was thinking about how the weekend went and I keep coming back to that conversation we had about trying new places to eat. I ended up looking up a few spots on the other side of town and honestly some of them look really interesting, like that little place with the outdoor seating and the string lights we saw in the photo. I think we should try it on a weeknight when it's less busy. It would be a good change of pace from the usual spots we always default to. Anyway, let me know what you think. I know we both have a lot going on right now but something simple like that could be fun and low-key. No pressure or anything, just throwing it out there. Also, I finished that book you lent me last month and I have some thoughts, but I'll save them for the next time we talk in person because it's too much to type. Hope you had a good start to your week though.

I've been meaning to tell you about this little trick I learned for keeping the car organized. You know how the backseat always ends up collecting random stuff? I found that keeping a small collapsible bin in the trunk actually works better than I thought. Ever since I started doing that, the front area stays way cleaner and it's easier to find things when I need them. It's funny because it's such a simple thing but it took me forever to actually try it. Now I can't imagine going back to the old way. I also started keeping a spare phone charger in the glove box, which has saved me more than once already. Anyway, I just thought of it because I was cleaning out the car this afternoon and it reminded me of how much better things feel after a little reset. We should plan a day to do a full clean-out before the weather gets too hot. Nothing crazy, just a couple of hours and some good music.

Let me know what your schedule looks like for next week. I'm pretty open after Wednesday if you want to pick a day. I'll bring the snacks if you bring the playlist.

I was chatting with someone the other day about how much we rely on routines without really noticing it. We got on the subject of morning habits and it was funny how specific people get about their order of operations. Someone said they can't function unless the coffee is already brewing while they brush their teeth, and another person said they absolutely have to check the window before deciding what to wear. It made me think about my own weird little system and how hard it would be to break if I ever moved or changed jobs. We talked for like twenty minutes about it, which sounds boring but was actually kind of entertaining. Anyway, that's my random thought for the day. Hope everything on your end is steady.

I also meant to ask if you've tried that new podcast everyone keeps mentioning. I haven't had a chance to dive in yet but I keep hearing good things. Maybe we can compare notes after we both get through a few episodes.
You know how sometimes you walk into a room and completely forget why you went in there? That happened to me three times yesterday and I'm starting to think it's a sign I need to write things down more. I used to keep a little notebook for exactly that kind of thing but I fell out of the habit. Maybe I should pick it back up. It would probably help with keeping track of all the little errands I keep putting off. Anyway, I'm rambling now. I'll catch up with you later this week for sure. Let me know if you're around on Thursday.

Oh, one more thing, did you see that the community garden is doing another planting day next month? I remember you mentioned you wanted to go last time but couldn't make it. Might be worth putting on the calendar early this time.
