Hey, I finally got around to cleaning out the garage this weekend and found that old box of vinyl records I thought I lost years ago.
Turns out my neighbor has been looking for a few of those albums for months, so I walked them over yesterday afternoon.
We ended up talking on the porch for almost an hour about everything from weekend hiking spots to which local coffee shop makes the best cold brew.
He mentioned his tomato plants are doing really well this year, much better than mine honestly.
I might ask him what kind of fertilizer he uses because my cucumbers are looking pretty sad right now.
Anyway, it was nice to catch up with someone without staring at a screen for once.
The weather has been perfect for that kind of thing lately, not too hot and not too cool.

I was trying to remember the name of that little taco place we went to last spring, the one with the colorful chairs outside.
Every time I drive past that neighborhood I think about stopping in but I can never remember the cross street.
My cousin came to visit last weekend and asked me for restaurant recommendations, and I drew a complete blank on that one.
We ended up trying a new ramen spot near the park instead, which turned out to be pretty good.
The broth was rich without being too heavy, and they gave generous portions of noodles.
I still have leftovers in the fridge that I should probably eat tonight.
Maybe I will take a walk after dinner and see if those fireflies are out yet.
Last summer they showed up around this time and the kids in the neighborhood were chasing them with little jars.
It is nice to have simple things to look forward to at the end of a long day.
