Edison Athletics Calendar.
EDISON EAGLES!
We need every single one of you to show up and show your school spirit! The cost of all games is $5.00 for students and $7.00 for adults. To avoid long lines, get yourself an Edison sports pass from our athletic boosters club www.edisonboosters.org or use etix, and purchase your tickets before the game.
The game starts at 7:00 PM, so make sure to dress appropriately for the weather. If you don’t have Edison gear, don’t worry -- the Booster Club will have plenty for sale! All middle school students need to be supervised by a Parent/Guardian for the entirety of the event.
High School students must plan to have their rides waiting for them at 9:30 PM.

Football Game Safety and Security Update beginning this fall
As we prepare for another exciting fall sports season, FCPS is implementing additional safety and security measures at all varsity football games.
season, all spectators will participate in security screening using the same weapons detection technology introduced in our high schools last school year. A standardized bag policy will also be in place to help ensure a safe, efficient entry process for everyone attending our games. The following items are prohibited:
- Backpacks
- Purses
- Fanny packs
- Tote bags
- Outside food and beverages
- Sporting equipment (balls, bats, sticks, etc.)
- Any item prohibited by FCPS policy, or determined by event staff to present safety concerns
Approved bags are limited to:
- Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags no larger than 12”x6”x12”
- Small clutch bag no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”
- Medical and diaper bags permitted but subject to inspection
As a reminder, middle school students and younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult who remains with the student(s) at the event.
These enhancements are designed to support a safe and welcoming environment while allowing families, students, and community members to enjoy Friday night football. We encourage attendees to arrive a little earlier than usual to allow time for screening.
If you or your student plans to come, please take the time to discuss the relevant information below:

No backpacks or other bags will be allowed in the stadium. Aside from the one listed above.

No outside food or drinks are allowed. The concession stand will be open.
- The purpose for students who attend our varsity football games is to watch the game, cheerleaders, and band.
- We cheer for Edison and not against our opponent. All cheers should be positive.
- Students need to leave campus during dismissal from school at 2:55 p.m.
- The gates to the stadium will open at 6:00 p.m.
- All students must pre-arrange for transportation and plan to leave immediately after the game. Students who are not picked up within 30 minutes of the end of the game may not be allowed to return for subsequent games.
- Students are expected to be in the stands and not hanging out by the concession stand, bathrooms, or baseball field
- We welcome all members of the community to attend our games, but parents are needed to attend and monitor middle and elementary aged students. All attendees, regardless of age, are expected to behave responsibly.
- Anyone who leaves must pay to re-enter.
- Whistles and similar noisemakers are prohibited.
- Representatives from the Fairfax County Police Department, the Edison Administration, and the Edison Security Staff will continue to monitor the activities of our patrons in the parking lot, at the ticket gate, and inside the stadium to promote a safe and secure environment for both Edison fans, our visitors, and guests.
- Anyone caught trying to enter the game without paying will be removed and can be banned from attending future games.
Our goal is to create a positive community event. Any behaviors that take away from this goal may result in being removed from the game and not being allowed to attend future games.

Buying digital Eagle Sports Passes only takes three steps:

When buying your Eagle Sports Pass, you will be asked for your first and last name, and then the full names of the other members.
We are very excited to announce that Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) Student Activities and Athletics has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service, for student registration for athletics and activities.
FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic forms for your students online. FCPS and FinalForms have worked closely to ensure that your most sensitive information is safeguarded and meets all of FCPS’ rigorous data protection requirements.

What You Need to Do:

Check Your Email: All parents with students registered in grades 9-12 will receive a confirmation email from FinalForms delivered to the email address associated with the enrolling parent. The e-mail will go to the e-mail associated with your parent view e-mail.

Check Spam: Please check your spam/junk folder. If the email is there, please "mark as safe" and add FinalForms to your contacts. Edison and the Office of Student Activities and Athletics will use this platform to communicate regularly with you throughout the school year.

Legislation introduced in the Virginia General Assembly and recently signed into law will result in two significant changes to the athletic pre-participation examination (physical) requirements for FCPS student-athletes:
- Beginning July 1, 2025, athletic physicals will be considered valid for a period of 14 months from the date the form is signed by the medical provider completing the exam. This is the date on page 3 of the VHSL Athletic Participation/Parent Consent/Physical Examination Form (revised January 2021).
- Beginning May 1, 2025, FCPS student-athletes are EXPECTED to have athletic physicals completed on the new VHSL Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Evaluation Form (revised April 2025).
