More than half of the hotel and meal expenses audited for Montreal elected officials exceeded the federal benchmark rates used for city employees, according to the city’s auditor general.
The annual report also found that Montreal remains far from its waste-reduction target and is falling behind on nearly half of the auditor’s recommendations.
