SET Expo & FilmeCon 2026: NANLUX, NANLITE Showcase
Professional Lighting Solutions in Brazil
This August, NANLUX and NANLITE were delighted to bring a diverse range of professional lighting solutions to SET Expo 2026 in São Paulo.
The GUTEK line of protector cases was also showcased. A key highlight of the exhibition was the Brazilian debut of the NANLUX Matrix 2500B and Matrix 2500C. Also featured were the NANLUX Evoke LED spotlight series, the NANLITE PavoSlim range of full-color LED panel models, and the budget-friendly NANLITE FC series.
With a broad line-up spanning high-output professional fixtures, full-color lighting and equipment protection, the exhibition provided the ideal opportunity for industry professionals to experience these lighting solutions up close.
From August 25–28, NANLITE & NANLUX headed to Teatro Gamaro in São Paulo for FilmeCon, where the team welcomed filmmakers, creators and production professionals to explore its latest lighting solutions.
The stand featured a wide range of lighting and gear-protection solutions, including fixtures from the Evoke, PavoSlim and PavoTube series, alongside the Gutek T-300 and T-230 cases.
NANLITE & NANLUX also hosted
IT’S NOT YOUR CAMERA’S FAULT...,
a hands-on talk led by image-maker Guilherme Isidoro. The session explored how lighting can do more than simply make a scene visible—it can create atmosphere, guide the viewer’s eye and support the story behind the shot.

With live demonstrations and engaging conversations, FilmeCon was a great opportunity to connect with Brazil’s growing filmmaking community and share ideas about what LED lighting
can bring to a production.

Lighting Stories Workshop in Singapore
On August 6, Showtec Film Gear in Singapore brought practical, high-end film and TV lighting to a hands-on training setting with its Lighting Stories Workshop. Led by gaffer Dave Wilwayco—an IATSE Local 728 and ICLS Associate Member, known for his work on hit series Beef and Nobody Wants This—and Singapore-born, US-based director of photography Jon Keng, an ICG Local 600 member whose recent work includes the feature film The Saviors, on which he collaborated with Wilwayco, the workshop gave participants direct insight into the methods behind professional feature-film lighting.
Dave and Jon explored the decisions and collaboration that shape lighting on set. Topics included lighting philosophy, modern prep workflows, and communication between departments, illustrated through practical, real-world approaches.
The workshop was supported by a powerful range of NANLUX and NANLITE fixtures: the Evoke series, Matrix 2500C, and PavoSlim 240CL. Used throughout the hands-on session, the fixtures demonstrated flexible lighting solutions for productions of different scales and requirements.

By combining professional on-set practice with an interactive workshop format, Lighting Stories showed how thoughtful planning, clear communication, and the right lighting tools come together to realize a production’s visual intent.
Fashion Photography Masterclass, Philippines
On August 15–16, MQ Group | Nanlite Philippines and Henry’s Cameras PH brought together around 60 photographers for Fashion Photography Masterclass: Lighting the Icons of Tomorrow in Quezon City.
Canon also supported the two-day paid event, which gave participants expert insight and hands-on experience in fashion lighting.
The sessions were led by three master photographers. Gee Plamenco Jr. is known for polished beauty, fashion, portrait and advertising work, including editorials for titles such as Tatler Philippines and Esquire Philippines. Andrea Beldua brought her bold, expressive approach to fashion and beauty photography, shaped by a longstanding interest in the relationship between the human form, movement and storytelling. Fashion and portrait photographer Jan Mayo added a perspective that moves between commercial portraiture and fine-art practice.
Participants had the chance to work with a wide selection of NANLITE fixtures, including the latest FC-720C, FC-120C, FC-60B, miro, pico and PavoTube series. The lights were used to create a variety of looks, from polished key lighting to expressive colour accents, giving attendees plenty of tools to experiment with throughout the masterclass.
