Fun Friday at Forestville
Forestville was excited to bring the entire school together last Friday for our first school-wide assembly! At this gathering, students sat in large circles with different grade levels and greeted new friends with a wave. They had a chance to play a game, Who is it? as a way to meet Forestville administrators, Mrs. Brooker and Mr. Plunkett. They learned Forestville cheers, chants and finally we ended with some Forestville Trivia in our own version of Forestville Family Feud.
Forestville invites all families to help students remember that we love to see Forestville spirit wear and/or school colors any day of the week and especially on Fridays! We also end the day with a fun and energetic music playlist as students are dismissing! Fridays are always fun at Forestville!
Back-to-School Night - WednesdayWe look forward to seeing our families this Wednesday, September 2, for Back-to-School Night! This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about what to expect this school year, ways you can be involved in your child’s classroom, and the learning that will take place throughout the year. There will be two sessions: 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Both sessions will share the same information. We offer two sessions to allow families with multiple children at Forestville to visit more than one classroom and to provide flexibility in selecting the session that best fits your evening schedule. Our specialists and resource teachers will also be available throughout the evening, including during the transition break, should you wish to connect with them and learn more about their support. As a reminder, this is an evening designed for parents/guardians. |
Forestville PTA Wants YOU!Forestville is fortunate to be supported by an outstanding PTA! Forestville PTA provides numerous enrichment supports for all of our students through contributions to offset field trips, classroom teaching materials, grade level speakers and so much more! They also provide numerous community events including Fall Carnival (9/25), Bingo Night, Talent Shows, Musical, PJ Parties, Dance Parties, and enrichment clubs! Forestville PTA invites families to consider joining at the Cardinal Circle level ($150). Every gift—at any level—makes a meaningful difference and is deeply appreciated. We look forward to growing our member enrollment by welcoming more families to PTA during our current open Membership Drive!
