Lt. Gov. Nancy Dahlstrom said the former state attorney general would not be allowed to run after Taylor declined to disclose the names of his tenants. Candi English, a wealthy businesswoman and first-time candidate, picked Taylor’s wife Jodi as her new running mate.
David Leslie, who aligns himself with the Democratic Socialist wing of the Democratic Party, departed after drawing 1.1% of the vote. Gerald Heikes, a perennial GOP candidate from Palmer, is now in the fourth spot.
