Apple's book-style iPhone Ultra could open a new chapter

Apple is set to unveil its first foldable phone, the iPhone Ultra, at the "Surprise and Shine" event on Sept. 9. The device is expected to feature a horizontal, book-style fold with a display comparable in size to the iPad mini and could be powered by the A20 Pro chip.

TP-Link to release first Wi-Fi 8 routers in select regions

TP-Link is launching its first consumer Wi-Fi 8 routers, with preorder for the Archer 8 Ultra BN19000 beginning Sept. 30 in select regions. The Deco 8 Ultra BN22000, a mesh router, will follow in the first quarter of 2027. The routers will use chipsets from Broadcom, Qualcomm and MediaTek.

Consumer Cellular is expanding its retail presence, targeting senior citizens as major carriers shift to digital customer service. The mobile virtual network operator has opened 100 stores and plans to open 120 in total by year-end after losing Target as a distributor. The sites are designed with seniors in mind, featuring spacious layouts with comfortable seating to encourage in-person interactions.
