Membership renews each year, so even if you were a member last year, we could use your support again!

Volunteers Needed: Help Us Make Our First Movie Night Happen!
We’re hoping to kick off the school year with our first PTA Movie Night on Friday, September 18th, but we need parent volunteers to make it happen!
Most importantly, we need a Movie Night Lead. Without a parent volunteer to take the lead, we will not be able to hold our September 18th Movie Night.
The good news: you won’t be doing it alone! We have a number of people interested in volunteering, but we still need a lead. The PTA has procedures and instructions from previous Movie Nights, and the VP of Community will be available to help leading up to Movie Night with planning and preparation. The Lead’s role is to take the reins on the night of the event, helping coordinate setup and cleanup, directing volunteers, and keeping everything running smoothly.
We also need volunteers for:
-
Movie Night Lead: Coordinate the event, setup/cleanup, and volunteers. This role must be filled for Movie Night to happen.
-
Concessions: Help set up, serve, and manage the concession area during the event.
-
Equipment: Help set up the movie equipment and get everything ready before the movie. Instructions are provided—no experience needed!
-
Movie: Help start and monitor the movie.
-
Clean-Up: Help tidy up and put everything away at the end of the evening.
For most volunteer roles, you do not need to commit to the entire evening. Even 30 minutes or an hour can make a big difference! Middle and high school students are welcome to volunteer, too! It’s a great opportunity to earn service hours while helping with a fun school event.
Movie Night is a favorite community event, but it truly depends on volunteers. If you’re willing to take the lead or want to learn more about what the role involves, please reach out to communityvp@hwpta.org.
