Joining the PTSA is one of the easiest ways to support McLean High School and make a difference for students, teachers, and families.

Your membership helps fund student and family events, teacher and staff appreciation, advocacy initiatives, community engagement activities, and programs that strengthen our school community.

Standard Parent Membership is $30. Membership is the PTSA's primary annual fundraiser, helping fund programs and events that benefit students, families, teachers and staff throughout the year.

Good to know: Joining the PTSA does not require volunteering. Your membership alone helps make a difference.

McLean Matters Toiletries Drive

McLean High School has approximately 300 students who are at or below the poverty level.  For many of these students, lack of toiletries poses a serious barrier to their comfort and learning while at school.  This is particularly true for girls who lack regular access to feminine hygiene products.

This year, the PTSA McLean Matters Committee will be hosting a Fall Toiletries drive to help support our students in need!  

Please purchase items from this Amazon wish list by September 25th for delivery directly to the volunteer organizing this drive.  She will be taking the toiletries collected to MHS, where they will be available for students during the school day at McPantry and for their families' pick-up during McPantry's fall food Pop-up in October.  

Please do NOT take donations to the school, the front office has requested they be routed directly to our volunteer, so we can bring them in all at once.

Don’t miss out on: Celebrate McLean ‘26!

Each year Celebrate McLean (CM) kicks off the social events at MHS and is one of the students and community's favorite traditions!

Join us on September 10 from 3:30-6 pm for a PTSA & Boosters-sponsored evening of community, student activities, food, and fun as students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners come together to celebrate everything that makes McLean High School special. Parents and siblings are invited, too. 

Here are the details for the evening's exciting events: 

3:30-4 pm Student Activity Fair @ Practice Football Field. Most MHS student clubs, some coaches and sports teams. Free admission. 

4-6 pm Fun Fair @ Practice Football Field. Games, Music, Food Trucks and Paint-out (bring your white shirt)! Free admission for games, music and paint-out. Bring $ or cc for food trucks.    

7 pm Football Game @ Football Stadium. Support the Highlanders at the festive, First Varsity Home Game of the Season! Cheerleading, dance, and band performance at half-time. Tickets $7 adults $5 students. Bring $ or cc for food concessions. Please note FCPS bag and purse prohibition - only small or clear bags allowed in the stadium.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Opportunity - Friday Breakfast Station

The PTSA organizes a weekly Friday Breakfast Station during the year stocked with contributions by fellow McLean HS families. The Friday Breakfast Station is set up in the front office for the 250+ teachers & staff who are grateful each week for your donations.  Donations can be dropped off in person or ordered online and shipped.
