For kids facing cancer, every advance matters
This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we're sharing Abby's story. 
Shortly after her 8th birthday, Abby was diagnosed with stage 3 Burkitt lymphoma and needed to begin chemotherapy right away.
After months of treatment at HSC Children's Hospital, Abby is in remission and back home enjoying 10-pin bowling, watching the Winnipeg Sea Bears and spending time with her older brothers.

Donor support brings specialized care closer to home
When Cloé was just 9 years old, she had surgery at HSC Children's Hospital to remove a brain tumour.
The surgery was a success, but her journey wasn't over. She was also experiencing focal seizures that continued despite trying several antiseizure medications.
To help find answers, Cloé became the first child in Manitoba to undergo stereoelectroencephalography (sEEG). The specialized procedure gave her medical team the information they needed to better understand where the seizures were starting and guide the next steps in her care.
For Cloé's family, being able to access this specialized care close to home made a meaningful difference.
