Hello ala,
National Day of Encouragement is this today, September 12th, 2026. Here is a number worth paying attention to: 52.2% of management/professional workers are women.
That means women are already a majority of the professional workforce.
But...the numbers change as we move higher into leadership.
Women make up 41.8% of management occupations and just 33% of chief executives.
The expertise is already there.
The experience is already there.
The ideas are already there.
One of the opportunities in front of us is making sure that expertise is visible.
Speaking is one way to do that.
When you share what you know on a stage, on a panel, in a webinar, on a podcast, or in front of your professional community, you’re doing more than giving a presentation. You’re building visibility around your expertise and helping more people recognize what you bring to the table.
So, for this National Day of Encouragement, consider this your encouragement to:
- Raise your hand for the opportunity.
- Submit the speaking proposal.
- Share the accomplishment.
- Talk about the work you’re proud of.
- Let people know what you know.
- Make your expertise easier to find.
You don’t need to wait until you feel more qualified to contribute to the conversation.
You may simply need more opportunities to be seen and heard.
That’s exactly what Innovation Women was created to help women do, and we want to help you too!
